Overview
Spider Web Escape is a cooperative game, all of the players work together. Your job is to help the butterflies escape from the spider's web by getting all 3 butterflies to the 'FREEDOM' space before the spider gets to the space and traps you in the web. Each person takes a turn and on that player's turn they make the final decision about which butterfly to move, but they should work with the other players to find the best plan.
Board Setup
Place all 3 butterflies at the 'START'. Place the spider at the 'SPIDER START'. Place the gecko cards on the spaces on the board marked for them.
Play
When you click the 'Roll Dice' button you will get 1, 2, or a 🕷. If you get a 1 you can move one butterfly 1 space. If you get a 2 you can move one butterfly 2 spaces, if you get a spider, the spider on the board moves one space. If you land on a 'Jump To' space you get to jump to the symbol it shows, but the spider never gets to jump. If the spider catches a butterfly, the butterfly has to return to the start space.
If a butterfly lands on a gecko card you get to hold onto it and use it to have the gecko chase the spider back when your team decides to use the card. To see how far the spider gets chased back, roll the dice. If you get a 1 the spider goes back 1 space, if you get a 2 the spider goes back 2 spaces, but if you get a spider the spider stays where it is.
If you're very good and willing to do extra work for your therapist, they might move the spider backwards 5 spaces if you're in danger of losing the game...
Remember, everyone wins or loses as a team!
